Building on the success of its inaugural edition, the competition is designed to provide aspiring musicians with a platform to develop their craft, gain national exposure and compete for the opportunity to become Nigeria’s next Afrobeats sensation.

The second season will run for 13 weeks and feature a nationwide call for entries, giving talented young artistes from across the country the opportunity to audition for a place in the competition. Successful contestants will progress through physical auditions to be held across key regions in Nigeria before advancing to a series of electrifying live performances.

According to the organisers, the initiative reflects MTN’s continued commitment to empowering young Nigerians by providing platforms that promote creativity, innovation and talent development within the country’s thriving entertainment industry.

Beyond discovering exceptional musical talent, the programme seeks to contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s creative economy by supporting emerging artistes and creating opportunities for them to connect with wider audiences and industry stakeholders.

The journey to crowning the country’s next Afrobeats star officially begins next week with a press conference, where details of the competition, audition process and participation guidelines will be unveiled.

Media stakeholders and entertainment enthusiasts have been urged to watch out for invitations to the launch event as anticipation builds for another thrilling season of one of Nigeria’s emerging music talent platforms.
