Officials of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) on Friday, January 30, 2026, conducted an inspection tour of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Oshodi, Lagos State, as part of efforts to assess the institute’s facilities and ongoing programmes.
The delegation was led by the Chairman of the NCC Board, Chief Idris Olorunnimbe, alongside the Executive Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Commission, Dr. Aminu Maida. Other members of the delegation included NCC Board members Princess Oforitsenere Emiko, Engr. Ikechukwu Ugwuegede, and Hon. Chris Okorie, as well as the Executive Commissioner, Stakeholder Management, Ms. Rimini Makama.
They were received by the Head of the DBI Lagos Campus, Mr. Akin Ogunlade, who guided the team through key training and operational facilities within the institute.
The inspection tour provided the NCC leadership with first-hand insight into DBI’s infrastructure, training environment, and capacity to deliver on its mandate of building critical skills in telecommunications and digital technologies. The visit also underscored the Commission’s commitment to strengthening institutional capacity and advancing human capital development in Nigeria’s ICT sector.
