The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has announced the postponement of the highly anticipated Digital Nigeria International Conference 2024, initially scheduled to take place from October 22nd to 24th, 2024.
In an official statement, NITDA explained that the postponement was necessary due to ongoing renovations at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, the designated venue for the event. The extensive renovations have rendered the facility unavailable for the scheduled dates. Efforts to secure an alternative venue that could accommodate the scale and significance of the conference within the original timeframe were unsuccessful.
The Director of Corporate Communications and Media Relations at NITDA, Mrs. Hadiza Umar, expressed regret over the disruption this may cause to attendees’ plans. She assured the public that the agency is working to reschedule the event and will provide updates regarding new dates and an alternative venue as soon as possible.
“We understand the inconvenience this may cause and deeply apologize for any disruption. We are committed to ensuring the success of the conference and will communicate new arrangements in due course,” Mrs. Umar stated.
The Digital Nigeria International Conference is a key event aimed at showcasing advancements in Nigeria’s digital sector and fostering global partnerships for technological growth.
Further details will be provided in the coming weeks.
