Evangelist Ebuka Anozie Obi, the Founder and Spiritual Director of the Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, has initiated legal action against blogger Diamond Dietanuru Osakorigho for defamation of character.

Through a letter issued by his legal representatives, ZLT Legal Aid Foundation, dated March 8, 2024, the Evangelist demanded that Osakorigho immediately cease publishing and sharing defamatory statements about him. The letter stipulated a seven-day ultimatum for Osakorigho to retract the offensive publication from his social media platforms and issue a clear, unequivocal apology to Evangelist Ebuka via video publications across all his social media channels.

Additionally, the lawyers demanded compensation of N100 million for the anxiety, trauma, loss of reputation, and damage caused by Osakorigho’s defamatory remarks against the Zion founder. Failure to comply with these demands within the specified timeframe would result in legal proceedings being initiated against Osakorigho to seek redress for their client.

Osakorigho had previously alleged, without substantiating evidence, that Evangelist Ebuka was involved in fraudulent activities, labeling him a “419 pastor” and accusing Zion Ministry of being a scam. However, Osakorigho has since removed the publication from his platforms.
