Citizens Are Urged To Link Their NIN To Their SIM Cards As Soon As Possible By The Federal Government.

The Federal Government approved a postponement of the NIN-SIM linking deadline until March 31, 2022, as the general public is aware. The Honourable Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Ibrahim (Pantami), has urged people and legal residents to complete the linking in the next few days in order to avoid enforcement.

For the next three days, the Honourable Minister has also requested that the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) provide round-the-clock enrolment services. Prof Pantami also expresses gratitude to individuals who have finished their NIN-SIM connections.

On behalf of the Honourable Minister, the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, and the Director-General/CEO of NIMC, Engr. Aliyu Aziz urges citizens and legal residents to take advantage of the window to complete the process of enrolment and verification within the next few days.
