The MTN Foundation, in partnership with SAIL (Sustainability and Innovation Lab), is advancing digital education in Nigeria by equipping teachers with the practical technology skills required to thrive in today’s rapidly evolving learning environment.

Through a comprehensive digital masterclass, educators are being introduced to cutting-edge digital tools and artificial intelligence (AI)-powered teaching techniques designed to enhance classroom delivery, improve learning outcomes and prepare students for a technology-driven future.

Participants have received hands-on training in a range of digital competencies, including 2D animation, cloud-based note-taking, content creation tools, and AI-powered lesson planning. The programme also covers AI literacy, responsible technology use, and the practical integration of artificial intelligence into classroom teaching and assessment.

The initiative is aimed at ensuring teachers are fully equipped to navigate an AI-integrated education system while creating more engaging, interactive and personalised learning experiences for students.

By strengthening the digital capacity of educators, the MTN Foundation and SAIL are helping to bridge Nigeria’s digital skills gap and foster technology-enabled learning across schools.

The intervention reflects the organisations’ shared commitment to preparing both teachers and students for the demands of the digital economy, where innovation, creativity and technology literacy have become essential skills.

As digital transformation continues to reshape education globally, the MTN Foundation-SAIL collaboration underscores the importance of investing in educators as catalysts for sustainable development and future-ready learning.

The initiative reinforces MTN Foundation’s commitment to empowering communities through education, innovation and digital inclusion, ensuring that today’s teachers are equipped with the tools needed to shape tomorrow’s workforce.
