Olu A. Verheijen has been appointed as an Advisor for the organization. Verheijen, with nearly two decades of experience in the gas and renewables sectors across Sub-Saharan Africa, brings a wealth of expertise to her new role. Currently serving as the Managing Director at Latimer Energy, a renowned consulting firm specializing in energy asset acquisition, development, and management, Verheijen’s appointment highlights her exceptional industry knowledge and strategic insights.

Verheijen’s professional journey has been marked by remarkable achievements and contributions to the energy sector. Prior to her role at Latimer Energy, she served as a Partner at Persistent, an early-stage investment firm with an extensive pan-African portfolio of distributed renewables companies. Her responsibilities included facilitating deal leads and supporting the growth of renewable energy projects across the region.

Furthermore, Verheijen’s experience extends to her tenure as a Deal Lead at Shell, where she played a pivotal role in advising on gas commercialization and facilitating mergers and acquisitions in the sector. Her expertise and insights were crucial in shaping successful ventures and driving growth in the gas industry.

Before joining Shell, Verheijen gained valuable experience at Moody’s Investors Service in New York, where she contributed to the evaluation and analysis of investment opportunities in the energy sector.
