The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, has praised Globacom for its pivotal role in transforming Nigeria’s telecommunications landscape, describing the company as a true pride of the nation.
Oba Ladoja made the commendation when the Enterprise Sales team of Globacom paid him a courtesy visit at his residence in Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State, on Wednesday.
He noted that before Globacom’s entry into the telecom market, Nigerians were subjected to exploitative billing practices by earlier operators. “If not for Globacom’s intervention, Nigerians would still be paying per minute, even if all they said was ‘hello, how are you?’” he said.
The monarch-designate prayed for the continued success of Globacom’s Chairman, Dr. Mike Adenuga Jr., and expressed hope for the company’s support during his coronation and throughout his reign.
Earlier, the Head of Globacom’s Enterprise Sales, Mr. Adeniyi Odejobi, conveyed the company’s felicitations to Oba Ladoja on behalf of its Board and Management.
“Globacom extends its warmest congratulations to Your Majesty and assures you of our continuous support. We will ensure that all your telecommunications needs are adequately met,” Odejobi said.
Oba Ladoja is set to receive his staff of office on Friday, September 26, 2025.
