A major ritual plot was thwarted in the Odomola area of Epe as operatives of the Odo-Noforija Division arrested one Samson Oghenebreme, a 25-year-old male, who was caught in possession of human organs. The arrest, which took place on April 25, 2025, followed a tip-off from vigilant members of the community who noticed the suspect’s suspicious movements.
Investigations revealed that Oghenebreme was transporting the organs from Edo State to a native doctor, allegedly for the purpose of conducting money rituals. His journey was abruptly ended by alert residents and quick police response.
Authorities have since deposited the recovered organs at the General Hospital in Epe for preservation. The Lagos State Police Command has handed over the case to the Edo State Police Command for further investigation and legal action.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh, commended both the swift action of the officers and the proactive spirit of the Odomola community. He stressed that timely reporting of suspicious activity remains a critical tool in crime prevention.
“We must all remain alert and ready to speak up when something seems off. This arrest is a clear example of what can be achieved when citizens and police work hand in hand,” CP Jimoh noted.
He further assured Lagos residents of the Command’s dedication to maintaining peace and security, urging them to report any unusual activity to the nearest police station.
