Nigerian music stars Ayra Starr, Tems, and Rema have earned a spot on Rolling Stone’s 2024 list of the 100 best albums, highlighting their global success and musical achievements.
Rema’s second studio album, Heis, took the 11th spot, with Rolling Stone describing the album as “unique, buzzy and visceral.” Tems’ album, Born in the Wild, ranked 37th, praised for providing a “physical and emotional listening experience.” Meanwhile, Ayra Starr’s The Year I Turned 21 secured the 53rd position, recognized for its display of the singer’s musical maturity and passion.
This marks a continuation of Nigerian artists’ growing presence on the global stage, following Asake’s debut album Mr. Money making the list in 2022.
