The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suspended Senator Dino Melaye, a high-profile member, over accusations of engaging in anti-party activities. The decision, as reported by Punch on Friday, was made by the Ayetoro/Iluagba Ward 1 executive committee after reviewing the findings of a disciplinary panel that investigated Melaye’s recent actions.
According to the report, Melaye’s conduct was deemed harmful to the interests and unity of the PDP, leading to his suspension.

For example, in August 2024, Osun PDP chieftain Peter Babalola was suspended over accusations of anti-party behavior, including a two-year absence from party meetings.
