In a heartfelt statement on Thursday, March 28, 2024, actress Eniola Ajao addressed the public via her Instagram account, taking full responsibility for the controversy surrounding her movie premiere, BEAST OF TWO WORLDS ‘AJAKAJU’.
Expressing deep regret and remorse, she sought forgiveness for the distress caused by the selection of Best Dressed at the event. Notably, she issued apologies to the Muslim community for any unintentional disrespect during the sacred month of Ramadan.
Furthermore, She extended sincere apologies to women, emphasizing her commitment to upholding the dignity and respect of womanhood in society. Acknowledging clashes between individuals at the event, she offered special apologies to veteran Femi Adebayo, his wife, Dayo Amusa, and controversial figure Bobrisky, emphasizing no ill-intent on her part.
To rectify the situation, Ajao named two females as the Best Dressed recipients and pledged to award them with ₦1,000,000 each as a gesture of her sincere apology. The actress had previously admitted on Arise News TV that the controversial selection of Bobrisky as Best Dressed was a deliberate strategy to promote the movie.
