The Gambian Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Ousman Bah, praised Nigeria’s telecom regulation achievements during his visit to Abuja. Bah, accompanied by a Gambian delegation, sought to learn from Nigeria’s success and replicate it in The Gambia. The purpose was to establish an independent regulatory commission for The Gambia’s telecommunications industry, taking the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) as a role model.
Minister Bah acknowledged Nigeria’s progress in telecom regulation as the driving force behind its digital economy. The meeting between the Gambian delegation and the NCC aimed to secure advisory support and strategic collaboration, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts to strengthen sectors across Africa.
