The 10th Nigeria Innovation Summit (NIS), held from October 7–8, 2025, concluded on a high note, uniting innovators, policymakers, and global stakeholders under the powerful theme “Sustainable Innovation.” The hybrid event, hosted by InnovationHub Africa, once again reaffirmed Nigeria’s position as a rising hub for technology, creativity, and transformative ideas.
The Summit, an annual gathering that brings together key players across government, academia, business, and civil society, served as a platform to explore cutting-edge innovations addressing Africa’s most pressing challenges.
This year’s discussions featured thought-provoking sessions on topics such as data-driven healthcare, digital technologies for sustainability, innovation in education, intellectual property monetization, fintech regulations, and the role of chambers of commerce in inclusive enterprise development.
A major highlight of NIS 2025 was the Nigeria Innovation Experience (NiX) Talks, powered by the African Innovation Academy, which spotlighted the theme “Digital Solutions for a Sustainable Transformation & Building Sustainable Solutions for Impact.” The event also featured fireside chats, panel sessions, pitch sessions (Pitch-a-Thon), innovation showcases, and interactive exhibitions showcasing the next wave of Nigerian ingenuity.
The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, represented by Olatunbosun Alake, Commissioner for Innovation, Science, and Technology, graced the Summit as Special Guest of Honour.
Distinguished speakers and panelists included Dr. Chinyere Almona (DG, LCCI), Dr. Jameelah Sharrieff-Ayedun (Chairman, CBAN), Prof. Michelle Lane Messina, Zusi Inegbeniki (Founder, FounderxAI), Victor Boyle (CEO, GIVO), Teresa Aligbe (CEO, Phenom Communications), Obinna Iwuno (President, SiBAN), Nnedinma Obioha (Founder/CEO, TecTerminal), Favour Chukwuedo (Founder, DigiLearns), among others.
The climax of the two-day event was the 2025 Nigeria Innovation Awards, which celebrated individuals and organizations redefining innovation in Nigeria.

The Summit drew participation from government agencies, international organisations, research institutions, startups, investors, and students, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across sectors.
To cap off the event, delegates embarked on an Innovation Tour of the MTN Cloud & Data Centre, deepening conversations on the critical role of infrastructure in Nigeria’s innovation landscape.
