Chinwe Ofili Set to Lead as SWAN Abuja’s New Chairperson

Mrs. Chinwe Ofili, ACA, will today, June 12, 2025, be formally installed as the 9th Chairperson of the Abuja Chapter of the Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN). The swearing-in ceremony, scheduled for 3:00 PM, will take place at the B.M.O Events Arena inside Riverplate Park, Wuse 2, Abuja.

With a distinguished career in accounting and taxation, Ofili is widely recognized for her expertise, leadership, and advocacy for women in finance. She will steer the affairs of the chapter alongside other newly elected executives for the 2025–2027 term.

The event is expected to bring together stakeholders from the financial sector, public service, and the oil and gas industry. National Chairperson Chief Mrs. Hilda Ofure Ozoh will serve as Chief Host, with Chief Tunde J. Afolabi, MFR, Chairman/CEO of Amni International Petroleum, as Father of the Day.

Hajia Zainab Abubakar Ibrahim, APC Deputy National Woman Leader (North), will be Mother of the Day, while Hon. Ngozi Lawrence Okolie, member representing Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency, will attend as Special Guest of Honour. Dr. Kabir Abba, PhD, FCTI, is billed to deliver the keynote address.

This ceremony not only marks a leadership transition but also reaffirms the growing influence and impact of women professionals within Nigeria’s accounting community.
