However, Mracajac underscored the challenges that remain, with over 28 million Nigerians still without access to financial services. She called for improvements in digital infrastructure and connectivity to bridge this gap, emphasizing that fintech products must be affordable and accessible to all segments of society.

“Building consumer trust is critical,” Mracajac said, urging fintech companies to prioritize data security and consumer education. She applauded efforts by the Central Bank of Nigeria and other regulators to support fintech innovation but stressed that continued regulatory backing is vital to protect consumers and foster sustainable growth.

“The future of Nigeria’s fintech sector is bright, but achieving its full potential will require collective efforts and innovative thinking from all stakeholders,” she concluded.

The Nigeria Fintech Week, an annual event, serves as a hub for fintech leaders and stakeholders to engage, share insights, and shape the future of the financial services industry in Nigeria.
