Dr. Reuben Muoka, the Director of Public Affairs at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has been recognized with the esteemed NIPR ‘Distinguished Spokesperson in Technology Award’. The award was presented at the NIPR National Spokesperson Summit, a significant platform fostering dialogue, innovation, and collaboration to advance public relations practices in Nigeria and beyond, which was held in Abuja.
Organized by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) under the theme “Change Narratives, Change Society”, the 2024 annual National Spokesperson Summit celebrated journalists and Public Relations personalities who have excelled as spokespersons in their respective professional fields.
Dr. Muoka’s journey within the NCC has been marked by notable achievements. Initially appointed to lead the Special Duties Department overseeing critical units within the Commission, he later ascended to the position of Department Director. Currently, he leads the Public Affairs Department, entrusted with managing corporate communication and people management initiatives at the NCC.
Leveraging his extensive experience, Dr. Muoka has played a pivotal role in advancing the NCC’s vision to enhance public goodwill and strengthen its reputational assets. A distinguished member of professional bodies including the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), and the Registered Practitioners of Advertising (arpa) regulated by the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), Dr. Muoka continues to make significant contributions to the field of public relations and technology communication
