Indigenous aviation company Air Peace has sounded the alarm after discovering that fraudsters cloned its official website to deceive intending passengers booking UK flights. This revelation follows the recent launch of the airline’s direct flight from Nigeria to the United Kingdom.
Taking to its official X handle (formerly Twitter), Air Peace issued a warning to customers, cautioning them about the fraudulent activities of scammers who replicated its website to exploit unsuspecting travelers. The company disclosed that cybercriminals utilized its website identity elements to create a fake portal, through which they have been deceiving and defrauding individuals seeking to book flights to the UK.
The Airline wrote: “Our attention has been drawn to the existence of a website “www.flyairpeace.uk” purporting to be an official Air Peace website and defrauding unsuspecting individuals.
“We would like to dissociate the Air Peace brand from this fraudulent site because it is not owned by us. The one and only website of the Air Peace remains “www.flyairpeace.com.
“Members of the public should totally ignore the site as it is impersonating Air Peace and fleecing passengers.
