Lagos CP Decorates 80 Newly Promoted Officers, Urges Greater Professionalism

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, Olohundare Jimoh, has formally decorated 80 officers recently elevated within the Command, marking their promotion from the rank of Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police II (ASP II).

At the decoration ceremony, CP Jimoh congratulated the officers, describing their advancement as a testament to their dedication, diligence, and professionalism in service. He reminded them that promotion comes with higher expectations and urged them to embrace their new responsibilities with renewed commitment.

The Police Commissioner emphasised the importance of discipline, respect for human rights, and community-focused policing, noting that effective law enforcement must be rooted in public trust and accountability. He charged the newly promoted ASPs to see their elevation not merely as recognition, but as a call to serve with even greater integrity and efficiency.

CP Jimoh also expressed appreciation to the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, and the Police Service Commission for sustaining a culture of timely promotions within the Force. According to him, such efforts significantly boost morale and strengthen overall service delivery.

The ceremony underscored the Command’s commitment to rewarding merit and encouraging professionalism across its ranks.
