Moniepoint has cemented its status as one of Africa’s most influential financial technology companies after clinching three major awards that spotlight its innovation, scale, and continent-wide impact. The company recorded a remarkable awards streak in 2025, earning recognition in Nigeria, the UAE, and across Africa’s branding ecosystem.

In Lagos, Moniepoint MFB secured the Best SME Microfinance Bank of the Year at the BusinessDay BAFI Awards, its second consecutive win. The honour underscores the bank’s expanding role in supporting small businesses with digital banking, credit, payments, and operational tools built for growth and resilience.

On the global stage, at Mastercard EDGE 2025 hosted in Dubai, Moniepoint was named Largest Non-FI Acquirer in Africa, celebrating its dominance in payment processing across the continent. This year’s edition of EDGE, Mastercard’s signature innovation forum for Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, explored the future of commerce shaped by AI, embedded finance, tokenisation, and next-generation payment technologies, an arena where Moniepoint continues to excel.

Adding to its honours, Moniepoint Inc. was crowned Most Outstanding Fintech Company of the Year at the Brandcom Awards, Africa’s premier platform for celebrating exceptional achievements in brand and marketing excellence. Organisers highlighted Moniepoint’s rapid expansion, unmatched innovation, and strong influence in advancing financial inclusion across Africa.

These recognitions collectively reflect the company’s technology-first strategy, its leadership in digital payments, and its role in bridging traditional banking gaps through embedded finance and secure payment infrastructure.

Speaking on the wins, Moniepoint Inc. Co-Founder and CEO, Tosin Eniolorunda, said the honours reinforce the company’s mission:

“These awards motivate us to continue building the infrastructure that powers seamless and secure transactions across the continent. We remain committed to investing in technology, partnerships, and customer-centred solutions while helping millions of businesses and individuals thrive in today’s digital economy.”

Founded in 2015 by Tosin Eniolorunda and Felix Ike, Moniepoint has grown into a full financial ecosystem serving more than 10 million customers across Africa. The company now processes over US$250 billion in annual digital transactions and remains a major catalyst for financial inclusion.

Its impressive momentum has drawn international attention, including recognition as one of the TIME100 Most Influential Companies, a listing among CNBC’s Top UK Leading Fintech Firms, and a third-year appearance on the Financial Times Africa’s Fastest-Growing Companies ranking.

From record transaction volumes to global accolades, Moniepoint continues to redefine Africa’s digital finance landscape one milestone at a time.
