Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside his deputy, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, visited MTN Nigeria’s Dabengwa Data Centre booth at the ongoing GITEX Nigeria Tech Expo on Wednesday.
The delegation was received by MTN’s Chief Operating Officer, Ayham Moussa, and Chief Information Officer, Shoyinka Shodunke, who walked the governor through the company’s latest investments in data infrastructure and next-generation connectivity. Among the innovations showcased were MTN’s customer-focused applications, including Zigi and myMTNApp, as well as other service platforms.
Speaking during a panel session, Moussa underscored the critical role of partnerships in bridging digital gaps and accelerating inclusive growth. He reaffirmed MTN’s commitment to enabling Nigeria’s digital transformation agenda, stressing the company’s long-term vision to support the creation of a US\$1 trillion digital economy by 2030.
MTN reiterated that it will continue to back initiatives that foster digital inclusion and power socioeconomic development across the country.
