MTN Group President and CEO, Ralph Mupita, has described the company’s latest financial results as the strongest since he assumed leadership of the telecoms giant eight years ago.
Speaking after the August 18 results announcement, Mupita credited the achievement to the commitment of nearly 17,000 MTN employees across the company’s 16 markets. He noted that their dedication has not only strengthened the Group’s performance but is also helping to transform lives and accelerate Africa’s digital progress.
In the days following the announcement, Mupita and CFO Tsholo Molefe engaged with investors in South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the United States. According to him, the feedback received was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing confidence in MTN’s long-term strategy.
Looking ahead to the leadership transition scheduled for November, Mupita said the company remains focused on expanding platforms in connectivity, fintech, and digital infrastructure, which he believes will be central to powering Africa’s next wave of transformation.
