He steadied local politics as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadan land and continuously called for cooperation between the state administration and traditional leaders.

Both Governor Seyi Makinde and Sultan Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar have expressed their sadness over his passing, with the governor vowing a dignified funeral.
