Galaxy Backbone Limited (GBB), Nigeria’s foremost provider of ICT infrastructure and digital services, has entered into a strategic partnership with the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) to drive the development and integration of Smart Police Stations across the country.
The landmark agreement, formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at GBB’s Corporate Headquarters in Abuja, marks a pivotal step in advancing the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Digital Transformation Agenda. The initiative aims to strengthen national security through the infusion of digital technology into policing frameworks.
Speaking at the event, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, Managing Director/CEO of Galaxy Backbone, described the collaboration as more than a strategic alignment, it is a united vision to transform public safety in Nigeria through innovation.

Under the MoU, Galaxy Backbone will deliver high-speed fibre-optic connectivity, cloud services, and robust digital infrastructure to power the Smart Police Stations. These facilities will feature cutting-edge ICT tools designed to enhance communication, real-time surveillance, secure data management, and operational agility for the Nigeria Police Force.
By enabling data-driven decision-making and improving incident response capabilities, the project is expected to boost transparency, accountability, and efficiency in law enforcement across Nigeria.
