Leading telecommunications company, MTN Group, has been inducted into the inaugural Brand Africa Hall of Fame, in recognition of its transformational impact on African consumers and its consistent contributions to shaping a positive narrative for the continent.
The announcement was made during the unveiling of the 2025 Brand Africa 100 Rankings, an annual independent survey covering over 30 African countries and representing more than 85% of Africa’s population and GDP.

Reacting to the recognition, Ralph Mupita, MTN Group President and CEO, said, “This honour underscores our commitment to digital and financial inclusion, and we are grateful for the trust shown to us by the people we serve.”
He added that the recognition reflects collective efforts from MTN employees, partners, and stakeholders across the continent, especially as the brand continues its implementation of Ambition 2025, its strategic vision to lead digital solutions for Africa’s progress.
MTN also maintained its position as South Africa’s most valuable brand, with a valuation of R50.7 billion, according to the 2025 Brand Finance Top 100 Report. The company has held this top spot since the report’s inception in 2012.
MTN operates in 16 African countries and remains one of the continent’s most influential homegrown brands.
