First Asset Management, a subsidiary of First HoldCo Plc and a key player in Nigeria’s investment sector, has launched the FBN Blended Dollar Fund, a new financial product designed to optimize investor earnings. This fund combines U.S. equities with high-value Nigerian assets, providing a strategic approach to wealth growth amid global economic shifts.

The launch was announced during a webinar that brought together financial experts to discuss investment opportunities in a rapidly evolving market. Moderated by journalist Omohefe Osemere, the event featured insights from industry professionals, including Laura Fisayo-Kolawole, Robert Hageneers, Gbolahan Ologunro, and Dr. Ayodeji Akamu. A major topic of discussion was the impact of Donald Trump’s trade policies, particularly new tariffs set to take effect in April 2025, and their potential influence on global and Nigerian markets.

With Nigeria experiencing an improvement in monetary policies, increased oil production, and higher non-oil revenue, investor confidence has seen a positive shift. This has created an opportunity for more diversified investment strategies, such as the newly introduced FBN Blended Dollar Fund.

According to Ike Onyia, Managing Director of First Asset Management, the fund is ideal for investors seeking stability, competitive returns, and protection against inflation and currency fluctuations. The investment structure includes 20% U.S. equities and 80% fixed-income securities, money market instruments, and Euro bonds based in Nigeria, offering a balanced mix of growth and security.

Onyia expressed confidence that the FBN Blended Dollar Fund would help investors navigate economic uncertainties while taking advantage of emerging opportunities in both local and international markets.
