MoneyMaster Payment Service Bank Limited (MMPSB), Nigeria’s premier payment service bank, is set to educate 5,000 students on fostering a culture of savings and investment as part of the 2024 Global Money Week.
Dubbed the “Catch Them Young” experiential campaign, the initiative aims to provide financial literacy training to students selected from schools across Nigeria. This week-long program will be conducted at MMPSB’s coordinating centers in 10 participating states of the Federation.
Additionally, MMPSB will engage teachers to equip them with fundamental knowledge of savings and investment strategies for future planning.
The 2024 Global Money Week, themed “Protect Your Money, Secure Your Future,” is scheduled to take place from March 18 to 24, 2024.
In a press release, MMPSB affirmed its dedication to delivering top-tier banking services to its clientele, encompassing payment services such as wallets, savings, individual and business accounts. Furthermore, the bank provides a platform for customers to purchase airtime/data, settle bills, and subscribe to cable television services, among other offerings.
“As part of the week-long celebration, MoneyMaster PSB will also be releasing thought leadership videos on safety and security on how banking customers can protect themselves. These videos will be shared to its customers via direct email and also on its social media handles for the benefit of the general public”, the bank said.
Global Money Week serves as an annual event aimed at fostering a global awareness campaign regarding the significance of instilling financial awareness in young individuals from an early age. It emphasizes the gradual acquisition of knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviors essential for making prudent financial decisions and attaining financial well-being.
This year’s edition prioritizes safe money management, highlighting the necessity of adopting a responsible and informed approach to personal finance. It underscores the importance of being cognizant of potential risks in the financial sector and safeguarding one’s hard-earned money.
