President Bola Tinubu has greenlit the appointment of ten seasoned professionals to spearhead management teams within crucial communication agencies in a move to bolster Nigeria’s digital economy sector. The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT), and Galaxy Backbone (GBB) are set to undergo strategic leadership changes following the presidential directive.
Under the purview of the Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy, these agencies are poised for transformative shifts under the stewardship of the newly appointed technocrats.
President Tinubu expressed confidence in the capabilities of the appointed individuals, emphasizing their pivotal role in advancing the nation’s digital landscape and fostering socio-economic development.
The appointments within the NCC include Abraham Oshadami as Executive Commissioner for Technical Services, Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, and Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute.
At NIGCOMSAT, Abiodun Attah assumes the role of Executive Director for Technical Services, Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director for Finance and Administration, and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director for Marketing and Business Development.
Galaxy Backbone (GBB) welcomes Ibrahim Adeyanju as Managing Director/CEO, Mohammed Ibrahim as Executive Director for Finance and Corporate Services, Olusegun Olulade as Executive Director for Customer Centricity and Marketing, and Olumbe Akinkugbe as Executive Director for Digital Exploration and Technical Services.
