Nigerians have been given the opportunity to evaluate the Code of Practice for Social Media and the Internet, which was released earlier this week by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

On Monday, June 13, 2022, NITDA posted a draft regulation document titled ‘Code of Practice for Interactive Computer Service Platforms/Internet Intermediaries and Conditions for Operating in Nigeria,’ inviting the public to examine it. However, the agency did not provide a feedback channel until Friday, June 17.

In a notice shared on Twitter, NITDA requests that stakeholders send their views to info@nitda.gov.ng by 11:59 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2022.
