A hundred young innovators across Nigeria are taking one bold step closer to changing the planet for good.
MTN Nigeria Communications Plc, in collaboration with the Worldwide Fund for Nature (WWF), its local partner the Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF), and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Nigeria, has unveiled the Top 100 finalists of the Nigeria PachiPanda Challenge, a nationwide hunt for creative solutions to tackle climate change, pollution, and environmental degradation.
Drawn from over 2,100 applications, these brilliant minds emerged through a tough multi-stage selection process led by a panel of 20 expert assessors. Their ideas stood out for one reason, innovation with impact.
Launched in 2024, PachiPanda is more than just a competition. It’s a movement nurturing young eco-entrepreneurs with access to mentorship, technical guidance, and funding to turn green ideas into real-world solutions.
Next up? The Top 10 finalists will be announced ahead of a 3-day sprint and masterclass in Lagos this November, where they’ll refine their solutions, pitch to experts, and compete for a spot at the Africa PachiPanda Contest.
