The Nigerian Army School of Signals (NASS) is seeking stronger ties with Globacom to boost its training and research capacity. The Commandant of the school, Major General Kennedy Osemwegie, made this known when he led a delegation to the telecoms operator’s corporate headquarters in Lagos.

General Osemwegie praised Globacom’s consistent investment in Nigeria’s growth since its launch over two decades ago, describing the company as a true reflection of the Nigerian spirit. He noted that the school, which serves as the army’s ICT and communications training hub, was eager to partner with Globacom through its CSR arm, Glo Foundation, to deliver modern and efficient learning solutions for personnel and allied institutions.

Highlighting areas of interest, the Commandant said the school was looking to integrate digital platforms and corporate support that would enhance both academic and professional training.

Responding on behalf of Globacom, Mrs. Mojisola Ashieru Sweet, Director of Strategy and Board Affairs, said the company remained committed to empowering institutions with technology-driven solutions. She revealed that the Glo Smart Learning Suite could be tailored to meet the school’s needs. The suite offers a Learning Management System (LMS) for digital classes, assessments, and collaboration, along with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for seamless administration. Students would also have access to bundled data for uninterrupted learning.

Both parties agreed to explore concrete steps for collaboration, with Globacom reaffirming its commitment to advancing digital education and capacity building in Nigeria.
