The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) is set to host the very first meeting of the Startup Consultative Forum on Monday, April 28, 2025. This event represents a major leap forward in engaging with key players across Nigeria’s expanding startup landscape.
Designed to bring startup founders, innovators, support organizations, and investors together, the Forum will provide a space for meaningful conversations that influence national startup policies. It’s being held as part of the Nigeria Startup Act (NSA), reinforcing the government’s pledge to make startups active architects of the country’s innovation ecosystem.
A key highlight of the meeting will be the nomination and selection of individuals who will represent the community on the National Council for Digital Innovation and Entrepreneurship—also known as the Startup Council—the highest advisory body overseeing the nation’s startup development.
This gathering aims to promote inclusion and ensure that those building the tech future of Nigeria have a direct hand in shaping the policies that affect them.
NITDA is calling on all recognized startups, innovation hubs, angel investors, venture capital firms, and related stakeholders to attend, contribute, and vote in the leadership selection process.
