The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has teamed up with Imose Technologies Ltd, a Nigerian technology company, to produce locally manufactured laptops and tablets aimed at boosting access to affordable technology within the country.

These products—14-inch laptops and 10.5-inch tablets under the NASENI brand—align with the agency’s focus on indigenous industrialization, local content promotion, and job creation, which supports President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. This agenda emphasizes local content development and collaboration between economic players to drive economic revitalization.

The NASENI Zedon X-Pro laptop features a Core i5 processor and a 14-inch display, offering a powerful yet portable device suited to a wide range of users, from students and professionals to everyday users needing a dependable device. Meanwhile, the 10.5-inch tablet combines portability and functionality, providing a versatile tool for tasks like document editing, digital drawing, video streaming, and gaming.

Khalil Suleiman Halilu, NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, highlighted the partnership as “a strategic move aligning with NASENI’s 3Cs principles of Collaboration, Creation, and Commercialization.” He emphasized that teaming up with Imose Technologies is part of a broader effort to reduce import bills and bridge the technological divide within Nigeria. “We are building a national brand so that, in the future, every household in Nigeria can proudly own a NASENI product,” Halilu added.

Imose Technologies’ Chairman, Osayi Izedonmwen, echoed this sentiment, describing the partnership as part of the company’s decade-long mission to address uniquely Nigerian challenges through local manufacturing. “We are proud that NASENI has chosen to partner with us to bridge the digital divide and expand access to technology for education and work,” Izedonmwen stated.

Through this partnership, NASENI and Imose Technologies aim to enhance Nigeria’s self-sufficiency in tech manufacturing, supporting local innovation and economic growth. The new NASENI laptops are available to government agencies, public institutions, private organizations, and consumers by request at sales@naseni.gov.ng.
