ALX Nigeria marked the International Day of the Girl Child by hosting over 90 young girls at its Lagos hub, with the theme “Girls’ Vision for the Future” guiding the day’s events. The celebration aimed to inspire and empower the girls by introducing them to opportunities in the digital economy, cultivating leadership skills, and fostering valuable mentorship relationships.
Ruby Igwe, Country General Manager of ALX Nigeria, highlighted the importance of building confidence and leadership in young girls from an early age. “We believe the future belongs to those who dream big and take bold steps. Empowering girls with the right skills and mindset is essential to unlocking their potential. At ALX, we are committed to fostering a future where girls are not just participants but leaders in the digital economy. Today is a celebration of their bright futures,” Igwe said.
