ALX Africa, the continent’s leading tech career accelerator, made a notable impact at the second edition of the Ibadan Tech Summit, where they engaged thousands of young professionals and tech enthusiasts. As a major sponsor of the event, ALX leveraged the platform to connect with the vibrant audience and share details about their transformative tech training programs.

The summit, supported by the Oyo State Government, gathered startups, professionals, and tech advocates for in-depth discussions on growing the local tech ecosystem. The event aimed to position Ibadan as one of Africa’s fastest-emerging tech cities, fostering collaboration to promote innovation and development in the region.

Seun Babajide Duroshola, ALX Nigeria’s Country Marketing Manager, participated in a panel focused on strategies for advancing the tech industry in Oyo State. He shared insights into how ALX’s program structure not only equips participants with cutting-edge tech skills but also emphasizes the power of community. “We ensure that every ALX participant is part of an active community in their state, so they never feel alone. When they face challenges or struggle to meet deadlines, they can connect with others who have been through similar experiences and receive support,” Seun noted.

Seun also highlighted Ibadan’s growing role as a tech hub. “Ibadan is rapidly becoming a key player in Nigeria’s tech scene, and we are excited to be part of its evolution. By providing access to top-tier tech education, we aim to empower the youth to lead and shape the future of tech in this region,” he added.

The Ibadan Tech Summit served as a critical platform for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration among stakeholders dedicated to advancing technology in Oyo State and beyond. ALX Africa continues to drive youth empowerment and tech education across the continent, helping to build the next generation of leaders in the digital space.
