The Nigerian President, Ahmed Bola Tinubu is expected to meet with the leadership of Organised Labour Leaders today, Thursday 11th July, 2024 at the state house Abuja.
The president is expected to make a decision at the meeting with the Labour Leaders on the Federal Government and Organized Private Sector’s #62,000 proposal, as well as the latest #250,000 demands of the Labour Union as the New National Minimum Wage for the Nigerian Workers.
The president invited the leadership of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) to the meeting expected to find a lasting solution to the lingering Minimum Wage issue for the Nigerian Workers.
It could be recalled that the president had on June 25, 2024, stepped down further consideration and deliberation on the memo on the New Minimum Wage to allow for a more robust engagement with relevant stakeholders across the country.
