ScreenshotA middle-aged woman, Christine Chika Anyanwu, who had been paralysed for one year, has narrated how she miraculously regained the use of her legs.

Anyanwu, who resides in the United Kingdom, shared her testimony at Zion Ministry, Okota, Lagos, during the ministry’s Adoration programme last Wednesday.

Recounting her ordeal, she said her health challenge began on March 26, 2025, when she suddenly collapsed at her workplace in London and lost consciousness. After medical examinations, doctors diagnosed her with Functional Neurological Disorder.

She explained that she spent four months admitted in the hospital before she was eventually discharged to continue treatment at home. While at home, she experienced several falls and repeated seizures which further damaged her spine and worsened her condition.

As a result, she was confined to a wheelchair for a year. According to her, several medical specialists she consulted in the United Kingdom told her that the chances of walking again were extremely slim.

Anyanwu said the situation left her emotionally drained and almost hopeless. However, she decided to take what she described as a final step of faith after her mother encouraged her to seek divine intervention at Zion Prayer Movement Outreach in Lagos.

Despite strong discouragement from some of her siblings and a Catholic nun who warned her against visiting the ministry, and also against the medical advice of doctors who cautioned her about undertaking a long-distance trip in her condition, she proceeded with the journey to Nigeria.

During the Adoration programme, the Spiritual Director of the ministry, Evangelist Chukwuebuka Anozie Obi, noticed her seated on a mobility scooter and prayed for her during a deliverance session.

Moments later, to the amazement of the congregation, Anyanwu stood up from the scooter and began walking—something she said she had been unable to do for a year.

The development sparked excitement in the auditorium as worshippers celebrated what many described as a miraculous healing.

When she later returned to share her testimony, some of the same relatives and the nun who had earlier advised her not to visit the ministry were present and joined others in celebrating her recovery.
