The Lagos State Police Command has announced that the physical and credential screening exercise for applicants in the 2025/2026 recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) will commence on Monday, March 9, 2026.
In a statement, the Command said the exercise is for candidates who are indigenes of Lagos State and successfully completed the online registration for recruitment as General Duty and Specialist Police Constables.
According to the Command, the screening will run from Monday, March 9 to Saturday, April 18, 2026, and will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. at the Police College, Ikeja.
Applicants are required to appear for the exercise dressed in a clean white T-shirt and white shorts. They must also present the following documents arranged neatly in two white flat files:
- Invitation slip showing the assigned table
- Credential screening form
- Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or NIMC-issued card
- O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) certificate
- Birth certificate or declaration of age
- Local Government/State of Origin certificate
- Trade Test certificate (for specialist applicants only)
- Duly completed and signed guarantor’s form, with photocopies and passport photographs of referees attached
Candidates are also required to present both the original and duplicate copies of their credentials neatly packaged in two separate white flat files, with recent passport photographs attached.
The Command stressed that applicants who fail to present any of the required documents will not be allowed to participate in the screening exercise. Candidates are therefore advised to strictly adhere to their assigned screening dates and comply with all guidelines provided.
The Lagos State Police Command further emphasised that the recruitment screening process is completely free of charge and will be conducted strictly on merit, in line with the principles of transparency and professionalism.
Members of the public are encouraged to report any individual or group demanding money or other forms of gratification in connection with the recruitment process.
