The National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) has invited stakeholders to a public review of two new draft frameworks: the Digital Public Infrastructure (DPI) Live Events and the Technical Standard for the Nigerian Data Exchange (NGDX). The review will hold on Thursday, 18th September 2025, at 9:00 AM, at the Digital Economy Complex, NCC Building, Mbora, Abuja.
The initiative is part of NITDA’s Rule-Making Process (RMP), which seeks to co-create regulations that are inclusive, sustainable, and aligned with international best practices. The DPI Live Events framework is expected to strengthen e-Government services and promote collaboration across public and private sectors, while the NGDX standard introduces a secure, unified framework for data exchange, boosting efficiency and innovation across finance, healthcare, education, agriculture, and more.
Highlighting the importance of participation, NITDA’s Director General, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, said the drafts will only succeed with broad stakeholder input:
“Nigeria’s digital public infrastructure must be co-created. We need all voices, government, industry, academia, and civil society, to ensure these systems are resilient, innovative, and trusted.”
The review session also reflects the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, supported by global partners including the European Union’s Global Gateway and technical collaborations with Finland, Estonia, Germany, and France.
