Gov Alia forwards first batch of nominee

The names of the initial group of eight Commissioner nominees have been sent to the Benue State House of Assembly by Governor Hyacinth Alia for screening and approval. This occurred less than 48 hours after the governor fired Mr. Paul Biam, his former commissioner and chief of staff, and appointed Mr. Moses Atagher, a former banker, in his place. The names that were sent to the State Assembly included Mrs. Theresa Ikwue, Dr. Benjamin Ashaver, Dr. Ijaguwa Adamu, Dr. Peter Egbodo, Dr. Yangien Ornguga, Denis Iyaighgba, James Dwem, and Dr. Paul Ogwuche, according to a statement released by Tersoo Kula, the governor’s chief press secretary.
