Ben-Chioma, the Environment Commissioner, gave the state’s political instability as the cause for his resignation. He stated: “On this day, May 15, 2024, I hereby tender my resignation as the Hon. Commission for Environment, Rivers State.” “Your Excellency, I want to express my profound gratitude for providing me with the chance to serve on the State Executive Council. The political situation in our beloved Rivers State, together with other personal factors, is the reason I have decided to step down. It was an honor to serve you throughout your administration, and I hope your tenure is filled with success.
Likewise, the Honorable Commissioner for Housing, Dr. Gift Worlu, resigned due to a toxic environment. “I formally resign my appointment as Honourable Commissioner for Housing,” he wrote.
