Tanker Explosion on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway Causes Chaos

A petroleum tanker has fallen and exploded on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, triggering a major fire outbreak near the NASFAT U-Turn in Ogun State.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ogun Sector Command, confirmed the incident, stating that emergency response teams are already on the ground managing the situation. Several nearby vehicles were reportedly caught in the inferno sparked by the explosion.

Authorities have yet to confirm the number of casualties or the full extent of the damage, but the explosion has led to heavy traffic buildup and panic among commuters.

Motorists are urged to exercise caution and follow traffic advisories as rescue efforts continue.
