A packed Rams Park in Istanbul witnessed an electrifying atmosphere on Sunday evening as the home side secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Kayserispor, moving them closer to clinching the 2024/25 Turkish Super Lig championship.

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen was the hero of the night, opening the scoring in the 27th minute with a powerful header from a well-delivered corner by Gabriel Sara. Osimhen’s goal, his 36th across all competitions this season, sparked wild celebrations among the fans, highlighting his incredible influence since joining the club.

Just two minutes later, the home team doubled their lead when midfielder Lucas Torreira sliced through the Kayserispor defense with a precise pass to Barış Alper Yılmaz, who calmly finished into the bottom corner.

The quick succession of goals crushed any hopes of a comeback for Kayserispor as the Istanbul side controlled the match effortlessly. Veteran goalkeeper Fernando Muslera was solid at the back, preserving a clean sheet to ensure no late surprises.

The champions added a third goal to seal a memorable night, reinforcing their position at the top of the league.

With only two matches left in the season, the Istanbul giants now lead their closest rivals by six points, holding 89 points from 34 games, while Fenerbahce trails behind with 81 points.

This victory places the team on the brink of lifting the coveted Turkish Super Lig trophy for the 2024/25 season.
