Enugu State Cancels April Environmental Sanitation to Support UTME Candidates

The Enugu State Government has officially cancelled the environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for Saturday, April 26, 2025.

According to a statement released by Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, Secretary to the State Government, the decision was made to ensure that candidates sitting for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), can participate without any movement restrictions.

While the usual environmental clean-up will not take place, residents are encouraged to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings. Authorities have confirmed there will be no restriction of movement on that day.

Additionally, the Enugu State Waste Management Authority (ESWAMA) reaffirmed the cancellation in a follow-up notice dated Tuesday, April 22, 2025.
