Prophet Elijah Bamidele Ilukholor, a Lagos-based cleric and leader of Christ House of Prayer and Deliverance Ministry, has accused Catholic priest Rev. Father Ejike Mbaka of being envious of the growing influence of Evangelist Ebuka Obi, the founder of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach.
Ilukholor was reacting to a video where Father Mbaka, during a church service in Enugu, appeared to criticize Obi indirectly. In the video, Mbaka suggested that just because someone washed his feet didn’t mean he was called to start a ministry — a comment many believe was aimed at Evangelist Obi.
Prophet Ilukholor expressed disappointment, reminding the public that Father Mbaka once openly supported Ebuka Obi. He said Mbaka previously anointed and encouraged Obi to do God’s work and not to fear anyone.
Ilukholor urged Father Mbaka to show love and mentorship rather than criticism. He referenced the biblical relationship between Prophet Elijah and Elisha, noting that Elijah supported Elisha and even prayed for him to receive a double portion of his anointing.
He concluded by advising Mbaka to treat Obi with fatherly care and support, instead of showing signs of jealousy.
