Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo has been named the Best Dressed Celebrity at the premiere of Omoni Oboli’s latest film, Wives on Strike: The Uprising. The actress not only received the prestigious title but also walked away with a ₦1 million cash prize.
Omoni Oboli, the film’s director and producer, took to Instagram on Friday to announce the winner, praising Ojo’s striking appearance at the event.
“Nigerian fashionistas brought their A-game… @iyaboojofespris is the Best Dressed Winner, Female category. You’re a true fashion icon. Congratulations, Queen Mother, you lit up our premiere with class,” Oboli wrote.
Ojo made a statement at the premiere with a stunning black dress, adorned with colorful patterns and a dramatic black hat, captivating the audience and stealing the spotlight.
Wives on Strike: The Uprising is the third installment in the Wives on Strike series, which originally debuted in 2016. The film series explores women’s empowerment through humor and social commentary, with the original plot centered around a group of women who staged a sex strike to protest domestic violence.
Following the success of the first two films, Wives on Strike: The Uprising introduces a new, gripping storyline involving a widow whose life unravels after her child is kidnapped.
