2024 Digital Nigeria Innovation Challenge Launched to Map Critical Infrastructure

In a push toward sustainable development, the 2024 Digital Nigeria Innovation Challenge is inviting participants to create comprehensive, data-driven digital maps of Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). These maps will focus on key infrastructure elements such as hospitals, schools, roads, and utilities. The initiative aims to provide valuable insights that will assist in strategic decision-making and support sustainable growth across the country.

The competition, which offers cash prizes totaling ₦11 million, encourages teams of innovators to highlight Nigeria’s infrastructure needs and opportunities.   • Cash Prizes: A total of ₦11 million will be awarded, with ₦1 million going to each of the six regional winners and ₦5 million to the national grand prize winner.

  • State Representation: Teams must represent a specific state, with at least one member having strong local knowledge.
  • Ethical Data Use: Only open or ethically sourced data is allowed, with disqualification possible for any misuse of proprietary information.
