PLANNED NATION WIDE , HARDSHIP AND HUNGER PROTEST.

PROTEST DATE:

The August, 1st Nation wide Bad Governance,and Hunger protest across Nigeria has commenced today, with armed security personnel taking strategic positions across Lagos metropolis, and some other states in Nigeria.

SECURITY POSITIONS:

The police have issued guidelines for the protest, including requirements for protest organizers to provide details of their proposed route, point of assembling, duration of protest, names and contacts of protest leaders and organizers.

COURT RESTRICTION ORDER:

Meanwhile, a Lagos High Court, has placed a restriction order on the movement and any other actions of the protester to just two designated venues, to include, The Gani Fawehimi Freedom Park in Ojota, and Peace Park in Ketu, with a specific duration.

GOVERNMENT / SOME NIGERIANS POSITION:

Meanwhile, the Nigerian Government and other well meaning individuals have pleaded with protesters to shelve the nation wide protest, with the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Particularly, asking for more time and patience to marshal out people oriented programs that will impact everyone positively.

LOCATIONS FOR THE ACTION:

The protest is to take place across various locations in Nigeria, including Lagos, Abuja and other states of the federation.

REASONS FOR THE PROTEST:

The protest is against the policies of the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with the Nigerian citing hardship, insecurity corruption and hunger as the major reasons for the planned action.
