NCC Opens Centre of Excellence For Technical and Vocational Training In Abuja

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has launched a Centre of Excellence in Abuja, aimed at providing Nigerians with technical and vocational skills to support the digital economy.

The Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani said, “My expectation is that NCC will collaborate with more stakeholders to make this initiative a true centre of excellence for Africa.

There is no society in the world that can prosper without connectivity. The connectivity requires human for its proper functioning”.

The Executive Vice Chairman of the NCC, Dr. Aminu Maida said, “This is the first time in Nigeria when our radio engineers will have the opportunity to come and touch and feel what a radio looks likes”.

He also said that with 5G era and the skill that engineers and other Nigerians will acquire, “we would actually see a lot of innovations through this Centre”.
