Dr. Aminu Maida, the Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (EVC/CEO) of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), warmly welcomed a delegation from Galaxy Backbone, headed by their MD/CEO, Prof. Ibrahim A. Adeyanju, on Thursday. The purpose of their meeting was to foster collaboration and brainstorm on enhancing Nigeria’s telecommunications infrastructure.
Galaxy Backbone, an entity established by the Federal Government of Nigeria, operates a nationwide IP-based network that serves as a foundational platform for connectivity and infrastructure services for all Government Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).
During their discussions, Dr. Maida and Prof. Adeyanju delved into various initiatives centered around leveraging technology to enhance service networks and systems throughout Nigeria. They particularly emphasized the importance of improving interoperability between NCC and Galaxy Backbone to ensure robust telecommunications infrastructure and comprehensive services across the nation.
Both parties reiterated their dedication to fostering innovation and driving digital transformation within Nigeria, with a specific focus on expanding the reach of high-quality telecommunications services.
